All good things come to an end goes the saying.
Once again the evil curse of SLB has landed upon us.
We have to sadly inform you that the Club Aid gig on the coming wednesday will be the last show Mr. Mike Berryhill will perform live with the Suicide Love Boat crew.
Mike has become so busy with all of his other projects that unfortunately he cannot give the necessary 100% needed on the deck of the Suicide Love Boat, so he decided it is better to give the position to somebody who can put the full effort and support to the ships ongoing adventures.

We have a new member already who will come and fill up the gap Mike will leave.
Though he wont be on stage with us, he will be supporting SLB from the shores and stay in our minds forever. (Even though he might suffer a small curse every once in a while).

So please come to Klubi on dec. 15th and say your farewell to Commodore Berryhill.

The crew of SLB is final after a years searching.

Kaikki hyvä loppuu aikanaan kuuluu sanonta.
Jälleen kerran SLB:n paha kirous laskeutuu harteillemme.
Meidän täytyy suruksemme ilmoittaa että kitaran varressa heilunut herra Mike Berryhill jättää Suicide Love Boatin rivistön taakseen ja soittaa viimeisen kerran kanssamme Club Aid tapahtumassa ensi keskiviikkona.
Herra Berryhillin muut projektit syövät aikaa tällä hetkellä sen verran että Mike ei enää ehdi panostaa 100% laivamme pinnalla pitämiseen, joten hän päätti antaa paikan sellaiselle henkilölle joka pystyy seikkailuissamme olemaan täysillä mukana hamaan loppuun asti.

Uusi jäsen on jo satamassa odottamassa ja hän täyttää ensivuoden puolella tuon ison tyhjiön jonka Mike kannellemme jättää.
Vaikka Berryhilliä ei enää lavalla nähdä, hän jää silti tukemaan Suicide Love Boat:ia taustajoukkoihin.
Kaipaamaan jää hyvä miehistö joka ehkä silloin tällöin muistuttaa olemassaolostaan pienellä kirouksen hyppysellisellä.

Tulkaa siis sanomaan hyvästit Klubille 15.12 Club Aid tapahtumaan Kommodori Mike Berryhillille.

Tämän vaihdoksen jälkeen Suicide Love Boatin on yli vuoden etsimisen jälkeen valmis.

On this day I am glad to inform you all that our quest is finally over.
We found a new guitarist / clean singer!

More info will follow soon and hopefully we´ll be able to introduce our newest member (for good) in the next couple of weeks.

Nothing is yet certain but there is a slight chance of Suicide Love Boat performing at Klubi,Tampere in the middle of december.

Also, big thanks to all of the applicants for the job!

Epäonniset tuulet puhaltavat meriltä!

Suicide Love Boat ilmoittaa tässä vaiheessa jälleen seilaavansa vajaalla miehistöllä.
Hetken aikaa riveissämme vaikuttanut Mr. Raimon D. on tällä päivämäärällä jättänyt Suicide Love Boatin suotuisat tuulet taakseen ja päättänyt keskittyä muihin musiikillisiin intresseihin.
Joten jälleen käy tiemme ojasta allikkoon.
Suicide Love Boatia jo pidempään vaivannut laulaja/kitaristi kirous näytti taasen kerran kyntensä.

Eli.
Suicide Love Boat hakee riveihinsä tällä hetkellä aktiivista laulaja/kitaristia.
Bändi on tällä hetkellä studiossa liki valmiiksi nauhotetun albumin kanssa (clean lauluosuudet uupuen), ja kunhan jäsenistö saadaan täytettyä niin levyn nauhotukset hoidetaan loppuun
ja keikkailu jatkuu hyvinkin aktiivisella tahdilla (mukaan kuuluu tällä hetkellä isompia kotimaan esiintymisiä, sekä ulkomaan kiertuetta).

Mitä haemme:
Joukkoon sopivaa hyvää tyyppiä jolla pysyy kitara kädessä ja cleanlaulupuoli on hallussa.

Mitä tarjoamme:
Paikkaa bändissä jolla on valmis paketti niin biisejä kuin ulkoasua myöden, aktiivista keikkatahtia jos veri vetää keikoille, hyvää sykettä ja hauskanpitoa kaveriporukassa jolle on jo myös niitä

Unfortunate winds dear friends!

Suicide Love Boat sails once again one crew member short!
Mr. Raimon D, who was with us for a vast moment, has announced today that he will quit the band starting from now.
He decided to aim his ambition towards other music projects and Suicide Love Boat was not one of them this time.
Once again the infamous curse of the cleanvocalist/guitarist dug its sharp teeth in our flesh.

So.
Suicide love Boat is looking for an active cleanvocalist / guitarist to join the band.
SLB is at the moment working in the studio with their almost finished debyt album (clean vocals missing still), and when we finally get a full crew to scrub the decks, we will finish the recordings and
continue touring with a very active pace (bigger domestic gigs and touring abroad will follow).

What we are looking for:
A member who fits in the crew and who knows how to hold a guitar and can handle the clean vocal parts.

What we are offering:
Place amongst a band with a ready package (songwise and stagewise), active gigging, fun times with cool guys (who have already been offered those so much wanted record deals).
We do not consider us as an "employer" band, but what were looking for is a full time, full fledged member to bring his own opinions and musicstyle as a richness to the band.

Heyo mateys!

It's time for some new web designs! We decided to polish our masts and cargo holds and what ever. So behold the new site! Ok, it's still the same blog, but with just new looks. So behold our new Myspace page! It has gone through complete facelift, and we think it's friggin' awesome! So go check it out.

On a different note, we have two gigs left with our beloved Themes Thunder. I think all of you should come to see him at YO-talo this friday and at Jack the Rooster on a later date. After those no one knows when we'll see him again as he sails towards new adventures! We'll also take a little break from touring again as we finish our first album. And by the way, it sounds great already! So stay tuned sailors.

Terve perämiehet!

On taas uusien ilmeiden aika! Päätettiin hieman kiillottaa mastoja ja keulia ja mitä näitä nyt on. Joten tässä siis uusi sivusto! Tarkemmin sanoen tosin sama vanha blogi, mutta uudella ilmeellä. Myspace sivustomme taas on käynyt läpi totaalisen muutoksen ja se on mielestämme huikea! Eli seilatkaa katsomaan.

Toiseen asiaan. Meillä on enää kaksi keikkaa jäljellä rakkaan Themes Thunderimme kanssa. Olen sitä mieltä että jokaisen itseään kunnioittavan seilorin pitäisi tulla Themesiä kuolaamaan sekä YO-talolle tänä perjantaina, että Jack the Roosteriin sitten myöhemmin. Näiden keikkojen jälkeen pidämme hieman taukoa esiintymisestä saadaksemme ensimmäisen pitkäsoittomme valmiiksi, joka muuten kuulostaa jo nyt pirun hyvältä! Eli pysykää kanavilla.

We have tortured him for days now but he still hasn´t revealed his identity.

Aloha!

Just to let you all know that Suicide Love Boat has returned back to home port from the Caribbean holiday resorts!

Next show we´re gonna play is tomorrow at Scandal Music Festival in Kemi, the promised land of snowcastles.
Be sure you come and check out when we wreak havoc in our homeport of Tampere at Tammerfest on July 16th!

Mr. Wane has finally recovered from his unfortunate, cruel and bizarre knife-sugar-accident. So he will be playing with us next saturday in Tesomarock! Come and welcome him back with us!

Oh, wait.

I celebrated too soon. Now the man has spontaneously combusted. Flames were all over him. Because of this also bizarre fire accident, Amistad Tortuga will be playing with us in Tesomarock. But there's a silver lining in this cloud, mr. Wane looks a lot better now when the flames have adjusted his face a little (I mean a LOT).

Hra. Wane on lopultakin toipunut kivuliaan omituisesta voiveitsi-onnettomuudestaan! Tulkaa siis kaikki ensi lauantaina Tesomarockiin toivottamaan Zon tervetulleeksi takaisin Suicide Love Boatin riveihin!

Greetings our fellow captains and captainettes!

Unfortunately Suicide Love Boat has to cancel the tour in Germany and Czech due to the fact that the main organizer does not reply to our queries about the tour. Apparently there has been also troubles with the bookings of the venues. Not the way to handle things say I. We hope that fans understand that the cancellation is not our fault at all, but we can point our accusations some other direction. We will definately set our sails towards Germany, Czech and other rocking countries where we can loot and pillage, but the time just isn't right now. Meanwhile, keep your eyes on the horizon for Suicide Love Boat.

Tervehdys arvon kapteenit & kapteenittaret!

Valitettavasti Suicide Love Boat joutuu perumaan kiertueensa Saksassa sekä Tshekeissä. Syynä tähän on kiertueen pääjärjestäjän kyvyttömyys hoitaa asioita oikein tahi niin että bändillä olisi infoa tulevasta tai kiertueesta ylipäänsä. Olemme myös saaneet tietoomme että klubien & baarien varauksissa on ollut ongelmia enemmänkin. Ei näin. Toivomme että fanit ymmärtävät että peruutus ei ole millään tavalla yhtyeen vika, vaan voimme osoittaa syyttävät sormet muuhun suuntaan. Tulemme vielä suuntaamaan keulan kohti Saksaa,Tshekkejä sekä muita hienoja satamia kohti jossa voimme rellestää, mutta sen aika ei olekaan ihan vielä. Sillä välin pitäkäähän katseet horisontissa Suicide Love Boatin varalta!

Hi,

I have something to announce. We sailed far from calm waters and the storm is catching on us. I think we spent too much time on land, at least Wildjam did. He had some news for us regarding women and babies. Of course it's friggin' awesome that one of our own decides to raise a family on land, but as everything, it affects our way of life. Wildjam is not that kind of guy who can sail without worries for his family, thus he has decided to take a leave from Suicide Love Boat. Now everyone needs to understand that this isn't a final decision, Wildjam isn't leaving us for good (He can't 'cause we would hang him). None of us knows how long it will take for him to start missing the sea, but for the time being, Wildjam leaves the ship. But never fear, we have a new man about to be bound to the crew! I never knew I had a brother, honestly. But when we found that wretched excuse of a man floating in the water I just knew we had to be related. So, cutting the story short, I' like to introduce our new member, my lost brother, Themes "The Triple Motherfucker" Thunder! Some of you might know this guy from his other crew, Clefsnake. While Themes is absolutely not leaving his old crew, he will sail with us for a while. I could guess that this is a shock for some of our listeners, I know you like Wildjam for some reason. So all the better reason for you to come to Klubi, Tampere 28.2, because that will be Wildjam's last gig with us (for a while). After that, it's all Thunder, baby!

Olisi ilmoitusluontoista asiaa. Olemme seilanneet kauas tyynistä vesistä ja myrsky on saamassa meitä kiinni. Luulen että vietimme liikaa aikaa kuivalla maalla, tai ainakin Wildjam vietti. Wildjamilla oli meille suuria uutisia liittyen naisiin ja vauvoihin. Tottakai on uskomattoman hienoa että joku meistä päättää perustaa perheen ja jatkaa DNA:taan, mutta se tietenkin vaikuttaa elämäntapaamme. Wildjam ei kuitenkaan ole sellainen henkilö joka voi seilata seitsemällä merellä ilman huolta perheestään, joten hän jättäytyy pois Suicide love boatin riveistä määrittelemättömäksi ajaksi. Toivon että kaikki nyt ymmärtävät, että tämä ei ole mikään lopullinen ratkaisu, Wildjam ei ole jättämässä laivaa kokonaan (luulisin että pelkää hirttotuomiota). Kukaan meistä ei tiedä kuinka kauan Wildjamilla menee kunnes meri kutsuu takaisin, mutta toistaiseksi seilaamme ilman häntä. Mutta ei hätää, meillä on uusi perämies valmiina sidottavaksi mastoon! En tiennyt aikaisemmin että minullakin on veli, mutta kun näin tuon karkean miehen kuvakkeen kelluvan vedessä, olin täysin vakuuttunut että hän on sukua minulle. Haluaisinkin siis esitellä kadonneen veljeni Themes "Tripla T" Thunderin! Joku teistä varmasti tunnistaa miehen hänen toisesta joukkiostaan, Clefsnakesta. Themes ei tietenkään ole jättämässä vanhaa joukkoaan, vaan liittyy myös meidän riveihin Wildjamia paikkaamaan. Uskoisin että nämä uutiset voivat olla jonkinmoinen shokki joillekin teistä, mutta sitä suuremmalla syyllä suosittelen saapumaan Tampereen Klubille 28.2, koska se on viimeinen keikka jolla tulette Wildjamia näkemään hetkeen. Siitä eteenpäin seilaamme ainoastaan myrskyssä!

Hi everyone! It's been a while again since I last wrote here something. These are busy times, we are finishing edit on our Immortal Sexuality-music video, recording our first single, composing new songs, etc. We always find time to do some gigs though. I've updated our gig list in "sailing towards you" box and you can see that we are setting the sails outside Finland at last! Soon we will be causing trouble in ports of Germany and Czech! Well okay, there's still some time before that, so we'll be sure to entertain our finnish audience before we make our leave. So come to see us in YO-talo, On the Rocks and Klubi, we might have some surprises for you up in our sleeves.

Terve! On taas kulunut monia päiviä siitä kun viimeksi kirjoittelin jotain tälle sivustolle. Elämme kiireisiä aikoja, olemme viimeistelleen Immortal Sexuality-musavideota, äänittäneet ensimmäistä sinkkuamme, säveltäneet uusia kappaleita, ym. Aina löytyy kuitenkin aikaa keikkailuun. Hey folks. We spent our new year in Helsinki where we had a gig in Gloria. When the decade changed we were playing Thunder Motherfucker, and our audience was on stage too. It was friggin' great. Uusi vuosi käynnistyy uudella ilmeellä. Sekä sivuston että orkesterin osalta. Valkoiset hepeneet vaihtuivat mustiin, lähinnä siksi että valkoinen kangas on miltei mahdoton pitää puhtaan näköisenä seilatessaan merillä. Värjäsimme siis vaatetuksen mustaksi, ei kuona näy.

Haluamme kiittää teitä kaikkia viime vuodesta, siihen mahtui monia huikeita hetkiä. Aloitamme uuden vuoden siis uusilla kujeilla, toivottavasti pysytte reissussa mukana!

The Love Horse is Back!

Few of you who have sailed with us from the beginning might remember those lovely horses who commited suicide in the name of love. Those adorable creatures played one of our songs with such delicacy and care that they're in our hearts forever. Incidentally we haven't heard from those horses after that performance. Until now of course! We managed to capture the soul of one of those horses. It looks like he's grown some grey in his hair lately, but we assure you, he can still rock!

Teistä kauemmin mukanamme seilanneet saattavat muistaa liudan rakkauden puolesta itsensä murhanneita hevosia. Nuo suloiset otukset soittivat herkkyydellä ja tarkkuudella erästä hittikappalettamme, vain hävitäkseen maan päältä kyseisen tempauksen jälkeen. Kaikenlaisia huhuja hummien liikkeistä on ollut ilmoilla, mutta musiikkivideota kuvatessamme saimme tallennettua erään hevosista digitaaliseen muotoon! Oheisen kuvan hevonen on kieltämättä hieman harmaantunut sitten viime näkemän, mutta uskokaa pois, kyllä siltä rokki vielä sujuu!

Yea, we are very thankful for everyone who voted for us when we were trying to share the stage with Sunrise avenue. Now in my last post I told you that you can vote if you have some free time in your hands. Well that was my weak moment, forget that. We have announced a new gig in Nokia (6.11. Nokian ammattikoulun palloiluhalli). Now while this gig has no age limits and is free, we have another one on the same day in club Ruma, Tampere, which costs four euros. We'll play at 19.00 in Nokia, and 21.15 in Ruma. See ya there!

Uusi keikka olisi tiedossa Nokialla 6.11. (Nokian ammattikoulun palloiluhallissa). Tuo keikka on ilmainen ja ikärajaton, mutta illemmalla olisi sitten ihan vaan aikuisille tarkoitettu keikka Rumassa (neljän euron naurettavaan hintaan). Nokialla soitamme klo 19.00 ja Rumassa 21.15. Mestoille kaikki!

It was a dark and stormy night, over a year ago from this day. Ports were silent as only the craziest crews would sail in that weather. There was a little pub near the port where our soon to be crewmembers were drinking and gambling. We were sitting in the same table with Crowlee, Wildjam, Zon, Berryhill and I, talking about our future conquer of the seven seas. And needless to say, we were drinking a lot. We finished our businesses and Berryhill and I decided to try and drink all the rum from all of the bars in Tampere. I'm not sure if we succeeded in that, neither is Mike. The night still had consequences. Berryhill woke to a what we call a "Thunder hangover". It was the morning he decided not to ever drink again, and that's the road he still follows. Now why the hell I'm babbling about this? It's simple. Our new poll is up, and this time we ask - should Berryhill get drunk already? Or was it a wise decicion to sail in the storms sober? Tell us, 'cause we are dying to know what the hell is wrong with him.

Se oli synkkä ja myrskyinen yö yli vuosi sitten tästä päivästä. Satamat olivat hiljaisia ja tyhjiä, ainoastaan hulluimmat merenkävijöistä seilasivat siinä myrskyssä. Sataman lähellä sijaitsevassa pubissa istui tuttu joukkio juoden ja uhkapelaten. Istuin samassa pöydässä Crowleen, Wildjamin, Zonin ja Berryhillin kanssa keskustellen seitsemän meren valloittamisesta. Tuskin tarvitsee mainita että rommia kului ja paljon. Keskustelumme päätteeksi päätimme Berryhillin kanssa lähteä kiertämään kaikki Tampereen baarit yrittäen juoda ne kaikki tyhjäksi rommista. En tähän päivään mennessä tiedä onnistuimmeko, kuten ei tiedä Berryhillkään. Illalla oli kuitenkin suuremmatkin vaikutuksensa. Mike heräsi niin kutsuttuun "Ukkoskrapulaan", jonka seurauksena hän päätti olla koskaan enää juomatta alkoholia. Se päätös pitää edelleen. Syy miksi horisen tällaisia joutavuuksia on yksinkertainen, uusi äänestys on käynnissä. Tällä kertaa kysymmekin: Pitäisikö Mike Berryhillin jo pikkuhiljaa riipaista kännit? News about Crowlee's drowning were hugely over-exxaggerated. The bastard only threw his hat overboard to fool us all. While rest of the crew was searching for him in the dark sea, Christopher was hiding in cargo hold, drinking all our rum. And it wasn't even the first time. Some day it will be the end of him.

Yup. He's done it again. Our captain whom we've all learned to love and hate is lost at sea again. Only thing left was his trophy hat. Let's hope he will emerge from waves again after this weekend. If only he could swim.

Greetings. As you see, we've had another shipwreck. We are still trying to get our original, shiny Love boat up from the bottom of the sea, but this one will have to serve for a while. This wretched excuse of a ship will be your source of information about this crew of the damned until we get our better boat's sails up. You'll see that here's all the necessary information you will need to find us. If you need to hear some songs, I'll advice you to sail to Myspace, where you'll find our latest release "Crew of the Damned". Or better yet, come to see us when we sail to a bar near you.
